Project S4
Project S4 is a Donnelly College initiative providing students interested in STEM fields with Scholarships and Supports for STEM Success. Students in Project S4 receive numerous benefits from the first day of college until they receive their degree.
Which Programs Qualify?
- Associate degrees with emphasis in Information Technology, Math or Natural Science
STEM-related associate degrees prepare you to transfer to another 4-year institution for STEM majors such as Computer Science, Engineering or Biology
Scholarship Support
Project S4 offers a $2,000/semester need-based scholarship throughout the National Science Foundation (need is defined by FAFSA)
- Renewable each semester through graduation as long as you maintain a 3.0 GPA in STEM courses
- Both incoming freshmen and transfer students may qualify; associate degree students must be incoming freshmen
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA overall or a STEM GPA of at least 2.5 from high school or transfer institution
- Students receiving scholarship support must maintain full-time student status (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) and participate in all required Project S4 activities
Academic and Support Services
- Free tutoring
- Shared core courses with fellow S4 scholars
- Supplemental Instruction in challenging courses
- STEM service learning activities
- Donnelly STEM club
How to Participate
- Project S4 students must be US citizens, US nationals, permanent residents or refugees
- For prospective students, visit with an Admissions Counselor by emailing them or call (913) 621-8706
- Apply for admission to Donnelly College
- Complete the FAFSA
- Submit a scholarship application, personal statement and letter of support from a faculty member or high school teacher
