Donnelly College's academic advisors are available to explain the requirements of Donnelly's many programs and assist in decision-making related to the following:

  • Selecting semester courses
  • Planning a program of study

Why did you choose to work at Donnelly?
I came to Donnelly to continue my work with helping students navigate the paths to their future.

What do you love most about working with students?
I feel very fortunate because making a difference has been my life long goal and day in and day out at Donnelly I get to strive to make a difference in my students lives. I love guiding Donnelly students and helping them discover the right choices for themselves. Nothing gives me more happiness than a student who has discovered, by working through the processes, who they want to be or who they want to become. Empowering students is my favorite thing about this job.

Fun Fact:
I focused on Poetry in my Master’s degree program.

Why did you choose to work at Donnelly?
After teaching high school for many years I realized I wanted to work with students in a role where I could provide more personal and individualized mentoring and counseling.

What do you love most about working with students?
I love getting to know my students and hearing their life stories and experiences.  I also enjoy guiding them to figure out their academic and career goals and keeping them motivated toward reaching those goals.

Fun Fact:
I took a semester off during college to backpack around Europe.  I didn’t embarrass the United States too much…..I hope.

Words of Wisdom:
Skateboarding is not a good career choice (though I once thought about it).
