JSTOR Essential is a cross discilipinary database that covers a wide variety of subjects including, english, sciences, and few nursing resources.
Open Access Data Bases
Open access databases were created to provide free access to peer-reviewed scholarly articles to increase scholarly communication. These are reliable sources of information and the articles can be used in your research just as you would use articles from subscription databases such as Ebscohost.
- arXiv
Pronounced archive, this site is managed by Cornell University and is funded by the National Science Foundation. It has almost 800,000 articles in math, physics, quantitative biology, quantitative finance, and statistics.
- BASE
Operated by the Bielefeld University Library and has almost 38 million articles.
- BePress
Bepress, pioneered the Digital Commons, an open access archive for scientific and scholarly articles, papers, ebooks, presentations, theses, and dissertations published by faculty, researchers, and students. It hosts the Digital Commons for over 150 colleges, universities, consortia, and associations in the United States and around the world.
- BioMed Central
BioMed Central publishes 244 peer reviewed open access journals.
- Directory of Open Access Journals
DOAJ has over 4,000 journals with almost 1 million articles covering on a broad range of subjects.
- Early Childhood Research and Practice
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is a peer-reviewed bi-lingual journal and also is available in a Chinese translation.
