RideKC includes Donnelly College on new route effective January 2019

RideKC is adding a new route in Kansas City, Kansas, serving 18th Street from Quindaro Boulevard to 51st Street in Roeland Park, Kansas.   

The 118 18th street route will begin Wednesday, January 2, 2019, with service running every 60 minutes Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

Destinations along the route include Donnelly College, Fast Fred’s Market, Prescott Plaza, which includes Ball’s Sun Fresh, Sav-A-Lot and Walmart Neighborhood Market in Argentine and the Roeland Park Shopping Center, which includes Price Chopper, Aldi and Walmart.

“We are excited about the access this bus line will provide to our students which is why we are providing all Donnelly College students with a free bus pass for the Spring 2019 semester,” said Lisa Stoothoff, acting vice president of academic and student affairs/ dean of the college. “The bus pass will be valid from January 1 to June 30, 2019.”

According to RideKC’s website, this is the first new route in Wyandotte County in five years. 

The fare for the new 118 18th Street route is $1.50 or 75 cents for those with a reduced farecard. A day pass is available for $3 and a 31-day pass is $50. Customers can pay with cash or use the RideKC app to purchase their fares.
