Poet Laureate of Kansas Coming to Campus

Poet Laureate of Kansas Coming to Campus

Eric McHenry, the 2015-2017 Poet Laureate of Kansas, will be visiting campus in late March to talk about his work in poetry and service as Poet Laureate of Kansas.

"For some reason, it has been ingrained that poetry is for serious writers only," said Lisa Stoothoff, Director of Preparatory Education. "I hope that attendees gain an appreciation for the spoken word as an art form and also a deeper understanding of how your life's perspective can help you become a better writer."

McHenry's work has been shown in publications such as the New York Times, Yale Review, Slate and Poetry International.

Free event, no reservation required.
