Donnelly Awards Pins to 26 Practical Nursing Students

Twenty six Practical Nursing (PN) students received their nursing pins Saturday, May 9, in a pinning ceremony, which is a traditional rite of passage for nursing school graduates across the country.

The standing-room-only ceremony was lead by Director of Health Occupations Sister Mary Teresa Morris, OSB, who congratulated graduates for their many accomplishments during the 16 month program.

Graduates were pinned by a nursing faculty or a nursing friend from the community who had inspired them to pursue and finish the PN program. Donnelly’s PN graduates lit their lamps and recited the traditional Florence Nightingale pledge to close the ceremony.
