Donnelly’s Annual Summer Social brought together a vibrant mix of supporters, alumni, and leaders, all gathered to celebrate a shared commitment to Donnelly College’s mission. This year’s event was particularly meaningful, marking the first time that Legacy Society members, Jerome Society members, and Donnelly Board Members joined together in one evening of introductions, fellowship, and gratitude.

In a moving moment of recognition, 20 new members were introduced into the Jerome Society, bringing the total to 146 individuals who have pledged their enduring support to Donnelly’s mission. These inductees stand as a testament to the growing community committed to the college's values of access and excellence. Additionally, the Social celebrated the exciting arrival of 8 new Board Members, who bring with them impressive backgrounds, passion, and dedication to shaping the future of Donnelly. Their welcome marks an exciting new chapter for the institution. Learn about the new members here.

Guests were also given exclusive early access to this year’s new common read, a powerful book chosen to spark dialogue and reflection across Donnelly’s student body and wider community.

The evening began with a celebratory Mass, followed by a warm reception filled with smiles, conversation, and meaningful connection. New members were personally welcomed, while long-standing supporters were recognized for their exceptional commitments to Donnelly. The shared sense of purpose created a welcoming environment where guests could reflect on the year’s accomplishments and look forward to future opportunities.

The presence of both Archbishop Emeritus Joseph Naumann and Archbishop Shawn McKnight served as a special honor. Their joint attendance not only symbolized continuity in leadership but also the enduring spiritual and educational mission of Donnelly.

From the welcoming remarks of Monsignor Swetland to the heartfelt recognitions of various attendees, a spirit of gratitude was palpable throughout the entire evening. As a token of appreciation, concluding board members received a special edition print by artist Michael Savage, commemorating their unwavering contributions and commitment to Donnelly College.

This Summer Social was more than a celebration. It was a heartfelt acknowledgment of all the generosity, leadership, and faith that have sustained Donnelly College’s students and mission over the years. With so many new members joining the journey and the unwavering support of long-time friends, the future has never looked brighter.
