Become a KC Scholar at Donnelly

Whether you're a high school student or adult learner who is looking to continue your education, you may be eligible to apply for the Great Jobs KC – KC Scholars Scholarship Program and attend Donnelly College. Scholarship opportunities are available to low- and modest-income students living in Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte counties in Missouri, and Johnson and Wyandotte counties in Kansas. 

Donnelly College will accepts two scholarships from the KC Scholars Program:

Traditional Scholarship 

  • Applications submitted by students in 11th grade.
  • Provides for up to $50,000 paid directly to the college, over the course of up to six years.
  • Requirements:
    • Be home-schooled or attend a public, charter or private high school in the following counties: Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte (MO) or Johnson and Wyandotte (KS)
    • Must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher 
    • Must be income eligible: Your Student Aid Index (SAI) calculation on the Federal Student Aid Estimator must be $12,000 or less.

Adult Learner Scholarship

  • Must be age 18 or older.
  • Provides up to $50,000 paid directly to the college over the course of up to six years.
  • Can enroll either full- or part-time.
  • Requirements:
    • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Live in one of the six eligible counties (KS: Wyandotte, Johnson; MO: Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte)
    • Have not previously earned a bachelor’s degree
    • Have not previously been awarded a KC Scholars Scholarship
    • Be income eligible (FAFSA Student Aid Index of 12,000 or less – learn your SAI here)
