Student Senate fosters student leaders, providing organizational structure and promoting involvement to enhance students’ leadership skills and college experience. The Senate represents students’ interests and serves as a liaison between the College’s student body, faculty and staff.

President, Student Senate
Libby is a Kansas native and the speaker and president for Student Senate. She is a pre-health major receiving an Associate of Arts Degree from Donnelly. Libby is committed to empowering her fellow students by helping them find their voice through student initiatives on campus. Libby joined Student Senate because she recognized the immense social capital of Donnelly's student body, and hopes to capitalize on this underdeveloped resource, what she considers to be 'Donnelly's best kept secret'.
Vice President, Student Senate
Micailah McRoy is the vice president of Donnelly’s Student Senate. She is a Bloch Scholar from Kansas City, raised here in Wyandotte County. She joined Senate to not only get involved but also to gain leadership experience and help other students get involved as well as see a real change within her environment. She enjoys singing, writing, drawing, as well as volleyball and playing the piano and guitar.
Secretary and Alternate Speaker, Student Senate
I am a senior at Donnelly College, studying Information Systems. My favorite classes are in the business and I.T. field. I like to read, run and watch classic movies. Around campus I am involved in STEM Club, Soccer Club, Travel Club and Student Senate.
Communications Director, Student Senate
Laizabeth Quinonez is the communications director for Donnelly's Student Senate. An associates degree student from Kansas City, Kan., she joined student senate to get more involved with the college and surrounding communities. She enjoys reading and writing.
Organization Liaison, Student Senate
Maria Perez grew up in Kansas Ctiy, Kansas. She graduated from Sumner Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2017 and is attending Donnelly College in order to obtain an Assosiate in Arts. She is studying to major in chemical engineering in order to work with renewable energy. Perez joined Student Senate as a way to be more involved with the community.
