Recruiting Students in a Pandemic

Recruiting Students in a Pandemic

Like everything else during the pandemic, the work of an admissions office has changed too. Just as our students are finding new ways to learn, so too are we finding new ways to recruit. “Virtual” has become our most used – and maybe least favorite – word.  Instead of visiting high school classrooms, businesses and college fairs, Donnelly’s admissions team is hard at work learning to set up digital platforms, conducting virtual Information Sessions, attending virtual education fairs, and getting proficient with ZOOM and TEAMS. These efforts are coordinated by a hard-working team, and led by Donnelly’s new Director of Admissions, Katy Siebert. Luckily for Donnelly, Katy brings with her 15 years of higher education experience and is skilled at navigating these unknown waters we all find ourselves in.

Throughout the pandemic, most of all we miss seeing prospective students in person. We miss chatting with them and sharing all the wonderful attributes of becoming a Donnelly Dragon with them…in person. We anxiously look forward to the day when we will be together again in their high schools and businesses.  But, until that day arrives, we will mask up, follow CDC protocols and work hard to make the experience of a Donnelly College student the very best from application to graduation.

If you or someone you know is ready to take that next step to complete your associates or bachelor’s degree, please reach out to our Admissions Team at 913-621-8706 or admissions@donnelly.edu or apply now!
