Additional Information Needed

Students who wish to enroll at Donnelly on an F-1 student visa must complete the following steps.* All documents can be sent via mail to Donnelly College, Attn: International Admissions, 608 N. 18th St., Kansas City, KS 66102 or sent via email to

  • Complete Donnelly's General Application for Admission

  • Complete the International Student Admission Application

  • Complete the Affidavit of Room and Board

  • Send Official High School/College Transcripts
    Transcripts from high schools and colleges outside of the United States must be evaluated and sent directly to our Registrar's Office. Transcript evaluations must be performed by a current National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) member. Please see their website for information on finding current members and their contact information:

  • Letter of Financial Guarantee with Supporting Documents
    A current bank statement showing $20,576 USD (for associate and bachelor's degree students) or $25,720 USD (for LPN and RN students) plus $7,500 USD for each dependent - enough for tuition, books, insurance and living expenses for at least one year

  • Copy of the Photo Page of Your Passport
    Note: If coming with dependents, you must present proof of marriage or birth certificate

  • Official TOEFL or IELTS Scores

  • If you are already in the United States at another institution, you must complete the International Student Transfer Eligibility Form

  • While financial aid options vary from school to school, Donnelly College is not authorized to distribute scholarships to F-1, M-1 students.

*F-1 Students who are interested in applying for Donnelly's Practical Nursing (PN) or Registered Nursing (RN) programs must complete all of these steps in addition to the Nursing application requirements. For questions about the Nursing application process, email

Make Your Payments

  • Application Fee $150
    This fee is nonrefundable. Do not complete payment until a DSO has approved all of your documentation for enrollment.

  • Tuition and expenses deposited into student's Donnelly Account  
    F-1 Students must pay the full amount of tuition and fees for one academic year before the start of their first semester.
    Wire Transfer Information

  • Pay I-901 SEVIS fee online once your Form I-20 is issued


  • Receive Form I-20 and letter of acceptance after an application evaluation process performed by a Donnelly DSO.

  • Schedule an appointment with your local U.S. Embassy or Consulate to arrange an interview to apply for your F-1 visa in person.

  • Bring your SEVIS fee receipt and a copy of the documents you used to apply to Donnelly, including a copy of the application itself. Be prepared to explain your educational goals and why you think Donnelly College is a good choice for your future plans in your country.

  • Contact Donnelly once your visa is approved to discuss travel arrangements and orientation.
