Students participating in STEM activities at Donnelly College

Summer STEM Academy 2019

Donnelly College’s Summer STEM Academy is a three-week program where students will experiment with different analysis activities that will take them through concepts in biology, chemistry and physics. All data re-collected will help them solve crimes. Students will also participate in math reinforcement sessions through the use of using ALEKS PPL (Placement, Preparation and Learning). This is an adaptive learning system which will meet students at their math level and help them succeed in the math courses they are planning to take. Snacks will be available. Field trips will be determined, will be optional and most will take place on Fridays.

All participants must be Donnelly students (incoming freshman and/or returning students).  Students will be eligible for certificate of completion and a full monetary stipend offered (of $360) upon successful completion of the academy program only if they have at least a 90 percent attendance rate for the program (only a maximum of four-hours of excused absences over three weeks).
