Donnelly is a thriving, private Catholic liberal arts college growing in size, in demand, and in need. With multiple years of growth in enrollment, academic programs, student services (including residence life), along with the quadrupling the number of campus buildings, it was time for Donnelly to also develop a strategic campus-wide master plan that reflects the College’s vision for the future and commitment to our students and their college success.

Working with Gould Evans through a seven-month college-wide planning process, Donnelly has adopted a campus master plan that touches every aspect of campus, allowing the College to more effectively transform people, transform places, and transform spirits.
The master plan creates an integrated campus designed to better promote student learning, interaction and success. Key features include a state-of-the-art library, a dedicated chapel, a separate community event space, as well as addressing urgent needs to upgrade current utility systems. It will create a facility that reflects our commitment to the urban core and demonstrates the quality learning that exists inside the classrooms.

Donnelly is a dynamic college that always holds as our guiding focus the potential of each person. The Donnelly master plan matches our campus resources and learning environment with the value of our mission to make college accessible.

What’s happening now?
We are thrilled to say that early phases are already under way! Donnelly is currently selling Kansas State Tax Credits as the final fundraising needed to begin construction on the Donnelly’s new Community Event Center. Learn more here. Also, the College began replacing the campus’ two elevators beginning in 2011, with completion scheduled for early 2012.
