Creative Coordinator

Position Reports to: Director of Development
Job Summary
The Development Division works to advance the College by supporting alumni and donor outreach and activities as well as promoting, through the Marketing department, all College endeavors to support students. In addition to being a key member of the team that fosters the advancement of the College through fundraising, alumni and donor relations and marketing, this Creative Coordinator position is responsible for all graphic design needs of the college and for creating a unified, professional look across all Donnelly materials. The Creative Coordinator must collaborate and communicate well with others, as he/she will be working with various departments, such as marketing, admissions, development and student services. This exciting opportunity requires an individual who is attentive to details, works well with a diverse array of constituencies, manages time well to complete simultaneous projects, possesses a creative spirit to work within limited budgets, and seeks excellence.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities for the Creative Coordinator position include:
1. Responsible for all the graphic design needs of Donnelly College. (For instance, designing the quarterly college newsletter, annual report, creating program brochures, event invitations/brochures, admissions and institutional materials, such as stationary, business cards, etc.)
2. Oversee all design of Donnelly College’s web site, as well as site maintenance and activity reporting.
3. Function as the school’s main photographer, with back up provided by the Marketing Coordinator.
4. Maintain organized archives of the College’s photographs.
5. Serve on institutional committees.
6. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the Creative Coordinator position include the following:
1. Associate’s Degree (or higher) in graphic design.
2. Experience working with print and web design, as well as photography.
3. Proficiency with relevant graphic design software.

Position Reports to: Director of Student Support Services
Job Summary
Student Support Services provides Donnelly students with the essential foundations that ensure students reach their educational potential. In addition to being a key member of the team that fosters and ensures student success, this academic advisor position is responsible for managing the Bloch Scholarship program at Donnelly. This exciting opportunity requires an individual who is highly flexible, attentive to details, who works well with a diverse array of constituencies, possesses superior communication skills, and seeks excellence. This position is contingent upon continuation of SSS grant funding, which Donnelly has retained for many years.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities for the Academic Counselor position include the following:
1. Perform academic counseling and advising; and needs-based counseling assistance to students.
2. Provide comprehensive needs assessment, academic planning and on-going monitoring of participants’ progress toward retention, graduation and transfer into 4-year programs.
3. Organize and present scholarship workshops, transfer visits/workshops and service-learning opportunities.
4. Serve as advisor for designated scholarship programs, organizations and committees.
5. Teach SSS-sponsored sections of coursework.
6. Serve on institutional committees.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the Academic Counselor position include the following:
1. Master’s degree in Counseling, Education, Healthcare or related field required.
2. 2-3 years teaching experience in secondary, adult or higher education required.
3. Previous academic advising or counseling experience preferred.
4. Previous experience working with diverse and/or at-risk student populations or TRiO programs required.
5. Computer proficiency required; including ability to learn other software programs as required.

Position Reports to: Nursing Specialist
Job Summary
This is a 12-month, grant-funded position with primary responsibility for the clinical instruction in the Licensed Practical Nursing program. The LPN program is scheduled evenings and weekends. This person will work with the Director of Nursing to schedule coursework and clinical sites, and in general support of the program.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities for the Title V Nursing Clinical Instructor position include the following:
1. Assist Activity Director/Nursing Ed. Specialist in design and development of LPN prerequisites, certificate program, including assistance with student placement in area clinicals.
2. Pilot LPN certificate courses.
3. Assist in course evaluation, modification, and conversion to online.
4. Maintain records and complete reports in accordance with grant and state guidelines.
5. Serve on appropriate college committees.
6. Other duties as assigned by the Title V Project Coordinator.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the Title V Nursing Clinical Instructor position include the following:
1. MA preferred; BA/BSN required.
2. Three years of teaching experience within the field of nursing.
3. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
4. Experience with instructing technology-based courses; alternative teaching strategies preferred.
5. Experience with students of color, first generation, non-traditional, and underprepared students preferred.

Position Reports to: Title V Grant Director
Job Summary
The individual that fills this role will have responsibility for designing, developing, and initiating Donnelly’s new bachelor’s degree in elementary education. In addition to exercising substantial influence on the program’s curriculum to meet the needs of surrounding school districts, the Director will work with both the Kansas State Board of Education and the Higher Learning Commission to complete the approval process. This grant-funded position is an exciting opportunity to take a project from concept to implementation.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities for the Director of Teacher Education position include the following:
1. Lead the design and development of the Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.
2. Prepare self-studies for program approval for the State Board of Education and the Higher Learning Commission.
3. Pilot and teach elementary education courses.
4. Student learning outcomes and program assessment.
5. Develop system for placement of program seniors in area elementary classrooms for teaching practicum.
6. Maintain records and complete reports in accordance with grant and state guidelines.
7. Assist in new course evaluation, modification, and conversion to online.
8. Active participation in college committee work.
9. Represent Donnelly College to the surrounding educational community.
10. Lead the Teacher Education Advisory Committee.
11. Other duties as assigned to support the program.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the Teacher Education Specialist position include the following:
1. Master’s degree in education required, doctorate preferred.
2. Teacher certification in Kansas and/or Missouri.
3. Experience with NCATE standards required. Experience with accreditation review highly preferred.
4. Excellent communication skills, especially writing skills. Self-study experience preferred.
5. Experience with students of color, first-generation, non-traditional, and underprepared students preferred.
6. Teaching experience in K-5 classrooms.
7. At least three years experience in use of instructional technology, alternative teaching strategies, and/or online instruction preferred.
8. Ability to use information technology for personal productivity.
9. Evidence of leadership skills as well as ability to work with a team.
