1 Credit Hour. This course is to prepare health care students with a basic understanding of the word structure of medical terms, the jargon of the profession and how the terms are constructed. This course will assist the student to understand instructions in the health care field as well as to help understand articles about drugs and procedures that appear in the newspaper daily.
