ACE and The Write Place are in room 205 on the second floor of Donnelly's main building.

What can students get at ACE and The Write Place?
The primary features of ACE and The Write Place are one-on-one tutoring help and support. In addition, six computers are available for working on assignments, several learning and writing guidebooks, and other tools are available for reference.
Students choose to come to ACE or The Write Place for a variety of different reasons. Whether you want to discuss an assignment you were given, brainstorm for answers to questions, or make an outline for a paper, we have someone here ready and willing to help. Want to focus instead more specifically on quadratic equations, thesis statements, or confusing questions? Come talk to a Write Place tutor!
Can I email my paper to the Write Place?
Even though we encourage everyone to stop by in person, life can get hectic. For your convenience, we have an email address that you can send papers to for a little extra guidance. Please email these papers to tutoring@donnelly.edu. You can expect a response within 24 hours.
Can I get my paper proofread at The Write Place?
We cannot proofread or edit your work, but we are happy to help you learn these skills and develop your writing process. In a one-on-one session, our tutor will help you to address your concerns as a writer including problems with grammar, syntax, or organization. Our goal is to support your long-term development as a writer, giving you new skills to use in future writing projects.
Who are the tutors?
We have a variety of different tutors at ACE and The Write Place ranging from students, volunteers, former students, and teachers. Feel free to set up an appointment or walk-in tutoring.
How can a student schedule an appointment?
To schedule an appointment, stop by ACE or The Write Place and sign up on the schedule. You can also set up an appointment online (link).
May any student make an appointment?
Yes, ACE and The Write Place is a free service available to all students.
